Rawding Joins Couch Braunsdorf

Liberty Corner, NJ-October 12, 2005: Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group is pleased to announce the appointment of George Rawding, Jr. as President of CBR Professional Solutions, a division of Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group. Rawding previously served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Professional Markets for USI Bertholon-Rowland where he was responsible for all professional liability and property and casualty operations, serving more than 20,000 professional firms in 13 states.

Rawding is the grandson of Albert Bertholon, founder of Bertholon-Rowland and he brings with him over 18 years experience in developing, managing and growing professional liability programs both on a sponsored and non-sponsored basis. Rawding will compliment and expand Couch Braunsdorf's insurance offerings and capabilities for professional firms, associations and individuals.

Over his career Rawding has served as the Professional Liability point person for several prestigious clients including the New York State Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, The Bergen County Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.

A member of PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriting Society) since its inception, Rawding was the founding Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of PLUS. He served on Bertholon-Rowland's Board of Directors-PA/NJ from 1994-1998. He also served on the Lawyers' Professional Liability advisory groups for Westport and Zurich insurance companies and is a member of the American Bar Association standing committee on Lawyers' Professional Liability. As a specialist in his field, Rawding is a frequent speaker on today's professional liability issues. A New Jersey native, he currently resides in Rumson, New Jersey with his wife of five years Lauren, a registered nurse at Monmouth Medical Center. Rawding is an active volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association of North Jersey and has served as a Big Brother in New Jersey with the Metro Newark Chapter.
