He brings his knowledge of the insurance business from a family of producers with over 70 years collective industry experience. Jason remarks "I grew up around the business and many memories of the satisfaction my father felt of providing security for families, friends and businesses when they needed it the most. My goal is to bring that same passion and history of success to the Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group. After joining their team in July, I feel as if I have come home." LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. September 29, 2012 - Steven D. Lyon, a faculty member of the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research who holds the CPCU, CIC, CRM, AAI, ARM, AIS and CRIS designations, led a full day seminar on Agency Operations at Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group. This was attended by 27 of our employees pursuing the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. Topics covered in Agency Operations included: The Insurance Agency, Insurance Marketplace, Risk Management, Communication Skills, Financial Statement Analysis, Personal and Commercial Lines Due Diligence, Account Management, Account Servicing Issues, Claims Processing, and Professional Responsibilities: Ethical and Legal Behavior. The remaining classes on Commercial Casualty, Commercial Property, Personal Residential Property and Personal Auto will be offered in a continuing series of Saturday classes. Hosting on-site CISR courses reflects our strong commitment to education that empowers our employees to provide exceptional customer service for our clients and carrier partners. Participants enjoy a great weekend of riding, food and fun while raising funds to support the fight against multiple sclerosis, a devastating disease. Today, we are pleased to announce that Christopher Baker has joined Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group, Inc. as Manager, Program Customer Service in our Personal Lines Department, with an exclusive focus on the needs of our Allstate and Farmers in-program agents that we serve as a wholesale aggregator. Chris has been working in the insurance industry for 20 years, and has more than 17 years experience with a nationally recognized direct writer. He brings a breadth of experience in personal lines, small business, and financial services product lines, including life insurance, disability and retirement planning. Chris has experience in managing small insurance offices and prides himself in providing excellent customer service. He carries licenses in Property & Casualty, Life & Health, and Series 6 and 63 designations. Chris is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania where he resides with his wife of 24 years, Melissa. Johnston, was the featured speaker at the Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, Annual Symposium & Invitational held on July 18-19 at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, NY. In his presentation entitled “A Value Added Partnership” James shared information about Couch Braunsdorf’s proprietary platform and programs for assisting insurance carriers in broadening their markets. This event was attended by CEOs and Presidents of Mutual Insurance Companies located in New York and Pennsylvania.
