LIBERTY CORNER, N.J.  June 3, 2012 - Couch Braunsdorf employees donated nearly $600 to The Wounded Warriors Project through their participation in a “special Thursday” that was held to support this charity.  In addition, Toiletries, Snacks, Magazines, Crossword Puzzle Books, Socks, etc. were collected during that week and shipped to our troops in Afghanistan.  Our agency suggests a $5 minimum donation per employee for the privilege of wearing jeans to work on “special days” where we support a featured charity; for this day, many employees contributed well above this minimum.  In addition, some employees baked a large array of home-baked desserts to make that day even more special.  Amy Brennan, Charmaine Williams and Adina Ziegler coordinated the event, and the behind the scenes planning.  Charmaine (CPIA) and Amy are Senior Account Managers in our Commercial Lines Department and Adina (RPLU) is a VP in our Professional Liability Division.

LIBERTY CORNER, N.J.  April 25, 2012 - Couch Braunsdorf continues to grow.  To support this growth, we continue to develop relationships with our markets and add to our professional staff.  Today, we are pleased to announce that Christopher Baker has been promoted to Manager, Personal Lines Department for Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group, Inc.  In this role, Chris leads our Customer Service team that support our Personal Lines clients, and the Allstate, Prudential, Farmers and Liberty Mutual program agents.  Chris has been working in the insurance industry for 20 years, and has more than 17 years experience with a nationally recognized direct writer.  Chris has experience in managing small insurance offices and prides himself in providing excellent customer service.  He carries licenses in Property & Casualty, Life & Health, and Series 6 and 63 designations.  Chris is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania where he resides with his wife of 24 years, Melissa.  

We are also pleased to announce that Peter M. O’Connell has been promoted to Manager, Farmers Commercial Lines Program, leading our new business development efforts with this key program partner.  Pete has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry with skills and qualifications in the areas of underwriting, risk assessment, international business, reinsurance, negotiations and customer relations.  Prior to his experience with Couch Braunsdorf, Pete had significant experience with AON Risk Services, Inc. in New York as Assistant Director managing a team of Client Specialists that reviewed and researched insurance policies/endorsements/audits, as well as coverage forms and issues.  He also served as an Assistant VP for American International Underwriters in New York where he oversaw worldwide underwriting/marketing activities for Fidelity and Banking product lines.  Pete has a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University and carries New Jersey Property & Casualty, Health and Title Licenses, and a New York Property/Casualty Brokers License.  He and his wife Stephanie reside in North Plainfield, NJ, and have two grown children, Michael and Shannon.

LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. April 5, 2013  David F. (Dave) Noyes, formerly Chief Credit Officer North America for Chartis (AIG) Property & Casualty, has recently joined Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group as Director of Finance.  In addition to his responsibilities for financing ongoing operations and special growth-oriented projects, Dave will assist our large clients with financial risk analysis required to address complex insurance needs.   

Dave has over thirty years of experience in the banking and insurance industry.  He has an extensive depth and breadth of knowledge in assessing the credit risk in corporate financing and the financial risk embedded in commercial lines insurance structures.  Dave was most recently Chief Credit Officer North America for Chartis, the Property & Casualty insurance subsidiary of AIG.  His responsibilities included evaluating contingent credit risk and collateral requirements for large commercial deductible and captive insurance programs for national and middle market clients of Chartis.  He met frequently with brokers, Treasurers and Risk Managers of commercial clients to participate in the structuring of insurance risk management programs.   Previously, Dave was Chief Credit Officer at Reliance Group Holdings and at ABB North America.  Dave has also worked at Barclays Bank and Bank of America, where he had management positions in commercial lending to corporate accounts.  

Dave has a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.   He enjoys playing in USTA Tennis Leagues, is an avid skier, and is a numismatist collector of US coins and paper currency.   Dave resides in New Jersey with his wife Carol, and serves as Treasurer or Finance Director for several local non-profits.  He can be reached via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We are here to serve our customers, and our new department can accommodate any and all pre-closing settlement and post-closing needs.  We act as an extension of our attorney client’s offices, seamless and transparent to the purchaser or borrower.  We can also accommodate the seller and attorney with document preparation or other needs.

Our Settlement Department is managed by Marie Tabor, who has more than 20 years experience as a real estate paralegal.  As always, our in house attorneys are also available to assist with any title or closing requirements.
