Rarely do hurricanes directly affect the north-eastern portion of the United States. However, during the week of August 22nd 2011 just about everyone who lives or works along the eastern seaboard was focused upon the potential threat that Hurricane Irene posed to both life and property. As the week progressed, it became apparent that the storm would make landfall somewhere in the New York metro area.

(Jim) Buccini as Chief Operating Officer. “We are please to bring Jim on board. He has a proven track record of building high performance teams,” said Jim Johnston, Senior Member of Couch Braunsdorf’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Couch Braunsdorf, Jim was a Partner of Redding Consultants, a boutique management consultancy that delivered over $400M of annual EBITDA improvement for clients, often portfolio companies of well-known private equity firms, across a broad range of industries. Previously, he was a Principal of A.T. Kearney, Inc., in North American Operations, where he led a variety of strategy, product development, and operations consulting engagements. Prior to that, Jim worked at Koch Industries Inc., the largest privately held corporation in the U.S., where he served in a number of senior line executive positions.
“I’m thrilled to join Couch Braunsdorf and lead the charge to achieve the level of operational excellence we require to exceed customer expectations as our agency continues to aggressively build its participation in Property/Casualty and Professional Liability programs,” said Buccini.
Jim holds an MBA from The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business with a specialization in Marketing and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of New York.

Pinckney to speak at the NJ Bar annual meeting

Pinckney, Esq, Senior Vice President at Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group, will speak at the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Meeting on May 19, 2011 in a risk management seminar entitled “Avoiding Pitfalls When Buying Legal Malpractice Insurance”. Topics to be discussed will include the underwriting process, coverage concerns as well as the state of current legal malpractice caselaw.
